I would like to develop a program that is a template, where I could input any stadium with longitude, latitude, orientation to North, height could be inputted.
The user could than input a date and time to see the orientation of the Sun and Shadows to the Stadium s seating diagram.
Description:
Allows the user to determine which stadium seat would not be directly in the Sun, and/or, which seats would be in the shade on a specific time and date.
This program will not only be useful to the average spectator, but would be of immense benefit to those that desire to, or must, avoid exposure to the UV light of the Sun, e.g., the elderly. The program may also be designed / used for secondary ticket sellers.
Proposed Program / Web Site would include:
* Diagram of each stadium with section locations and seat numbering.
* Longitude and Latitude of each stadium.
* Orientation of each Stadium to North.
* Adjacent high-rise buildings or other potential objects that will block the Sun.
* The height of the stadium (if available).
* The month of year & time of day. A method upon which the user of the program could input the date and time to show the location of the sun to the seats, as well as, have a shadow cover the stadium diagram to depict which seats were either out of direct eye contact with the Sun, and/or, in the Shade.
* A separate narrative explaining which seats would be out of direct sunlight, and/or, in the shade.
* Other information may also be provided, e.g., the orientation of parking to the stadium seat selections.
