Job Description The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for acting as the go-to person on the team for technical questions. This person will be an expert programmer on any project thrown at them, perform code reviews and mentor other team members. This team member will be expected to jump into an application without hesitation and figure it out. They will take a lead role in application design and architecture as well as assist with delivery estimates and provide actionable feedback on the project and process. You must have USA/Canadian Citizenship or your Green Card/EAD. Responsibilities Pick up and own changes for applications from development to deployment Provide C# and web technology expertise and mentoring to other team members Lead the requirements gathering, design and development of new applications Provide software and system architecture guidance for the team Help evaluate and decide on the right tool or technology for the job Create and foster technical standards Work closely with QA, IO, Network and Security teams to remove roadblocks Own applications from the UI to the database level and all integrations between components Write and encourage unit tests inside and outside of the direct team Perform code and design reviews Requirements Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent relevant experience Five years of programming or related experience in one or more of the following: Cocoa Programming, Objective C, HTML, .NET, PHP, Java or Progress Five years of experience in software testing and design Five years of database-related experience Five years working in a team environment One year of experience with ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web API Experience operating in an Agile team capable of taking on the Scrum master role Experience leading small project teams Experience mentoring others
