SharePoint Programmer Your specific duties as a SharePoint Programmer will include Compensation (Hourly Range): Open/Negotiable -Temp to Hire Position Summary: The primary function includes but is not limited to: Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible designing and implementing Sharepoint across Ilitch companies and is responsible for the full lifecycle of Sharepoint development. This position will provide guidance and overall strategy to business units of the Ilitch companies to help maintain stability, growth and sustainability. The position will work autonomously and as part of cross-functional teams to develop applications on the Sharepoint platform. The security and documentation of Sharepoint is critical and complex analysis and problem sharing is a key function. This position will interact with all levels of the companies and provide leadership on numerous cross-functional teams. Essential Job Functions: 1. Manage the design, installation and configuration of the Sharepoint platform from the onset to completion, ensuring that user requirements are met, including logical, physical design, security and disaster recovery configurations. This position supports all business units within the Ilitch companies. 2. Provide analytical and problem solving expertise to resolve business and systems issues. Proactively identify and provides recommendations on solutions for gaps in business processes and systems. 3. Consistently apply appropriate enterprise methodologies and standards for software development and execution. 4. Support Quality Assurance (QA) in the development of integration test plans, test conditions, and expected test results. 5. Act as a technical mentor to others and train staff as appropriate. Translate technical information to a non-technical audience. 6. Lead development teams consisting of LCE colleagues and on-site and off-site consultants. 7. Keep pace with business trends, standards, best practices, and new releases in Sharepoint and Sharepoint-related technologies. 8. Produce excellent quality code, accurate estimations, creative solution options, and trade-off analysis in decision, design or projects. 9. Provide weekly updates to management on project(s) status, issues and solutions. Supplemental Job Functions: Other duties as assigned SharePoint Programmer Job Requirements As a SharePoint Programmer you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Required Skills Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related analytical field. Will equivalent experience be acceptable? 2. Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years’ experience in Sharepoint architecture experience, directing the complete lifecycle of projects including development, security and QA processes, source control, and release management. 3. Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in software development and relational databases including: a. .Net, Java or similar object-oriented technology b. SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle 4. Previous experience providing formal or informal leadership to teams. 5. Evidence of deep understanding of technology with an affinity for technological advancements and how they are applied to a business environment. Ability to articulate on-going pursuit of technical knowledge and experience. 6. Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and presentation communication skills that effectively articulates complex technical concepts to a diverse and, at times, non-technical audience at all levels in the organization. 7. Evidence of effective time management skills, including managing multiple time-sensitive projects. Evidence of ability to coach, motivate, obtain consensus and achieve results. 8. Evidence of ability to analyze, problem-solve and make decisions, including viable alternative options. 9. Previous experience managing third party vendors, including development of service level agreements and compliance to contracts. 10. Highly developed written, verbal, and presentation communication skills that effectively articulates complex technical concepts to a diverse and, at times, non-technical audience at all levels in the organization. 11. Provide support and ongoing reinforcement of change management philosophies related to changes and advances in innovative business systems. 12. Stay up-to-date with technology trends in the area of software development and software solutions. Make recommendations on new technologies and platforms.
