This critical role will be a key contributor in the organizations IT security strategy and help shape our infrastructure. This is not a maintenance role. Position Summary Protects digital information through safeguarding the Amerisure network, files, user accounts and other sensitive information. Provides data security governance and/or threat management subject matter expertise by monitoring and understanding the ever-changing threat landscape and collaborates with business units and the IT department to ensure timely risk identification, prioritization, and mitigation of threats and vulnerabilities. Responsibilities Lead data security & governance programs as subject matter expert, partnering with the business to implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies and best practices. Design, configure and implement IT Security controls supporting the IT Architectural Strategy and protects Amerisure intellectual property from intentional or accidental destruction, modification or disclosure. Provide in-depth technical support and monitoring for existing information security platforms and processes. Provide expert leadership in defense tactics, incident response and analyze security incidents to determine root cause and identify process or system changes to prevent reoccurrence. Perform IT security risk assessments, product and application security evaluations and provide documented results/recommendations to project leadership teams. Research data security best practices and regulatory requirements, establish policies, standards and procedures to ensure compliance. Develop IT security education and awareness materials/activities to improve organizational security posture, measure and report metrics to leadership. Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work-related experience. 7 years information technology experience required with a minimum of seven years data security experience. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials Certified (GSEC), or Certified in Risk and Information System Control (CRISC). Technically proficient with security tool sets such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners, log aggregation and analysis/SIM/SIEM, data analytics, Digital Right Management (DRM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and security intelligence. Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams. Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
