Description
: Supporting product managers with cost analysis, pricing tools, and maintenance of profitability dashboards; acting as back:up to PMs as needed to support account teams.
: Working with product managers, technical, and account teams to maintain a clear summary of the project portfolio, maintaining data and coordinating regular reviews and alignment.
: Responsible for performing quarterly margin analysis on underperforming products, scheduling account reviews and monitoring actions.
: Business contact in the marketing group for maintenance of tolled products, working with business functions and procurement.
: Managing NAFTA certificate process; completing requests in a timely fashion in order to meet customer requirements.
Product Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, costing and pricing of OEM product layers in the NA region. Tools necessary to monitor and strategically manage the production portfolio will be maintained for the business by the analyst. Often, requests from the sales teams will have short deadlines; high data quality is extremely important and expected from this role. He or she will also work with the lab to determine project priorities and ensure projects are properly tracked and resourced.
The Product Specialist must be comfortable working in a shared office setting. The Product Specialist must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence others without direct supervisory responsibility is required.
The Product Specialist must be able to communicate effectively with various departments internally. The Product Specialist works with R and D Lab to identify new projects and define resource needs. The Product Specialist coordinates with sales management to provide necessary information on costing to support business case process with controlling. In this role, the Product Analyst will also interact with supply chain and manufacturing to support the completion of business cases.
Qualifications : BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Education
: Requires a Bachelor's degree.
Experience
: Three years of experience required; coatings experience desired.
Strong excel skills required.
Access or similar database experience desired.
SAP experience is a plus.
