Job Description Position Description o Position Duties The Linux engineer will be responsible for planning development implementation and maintenance of the overall integration of the computing platform eg hardware systems software operating systems and storage for hosts and or clients running the Linux operating system Experience Required o Key responsibilities Build test and certify the Linux operating system against a variety of HP X hardware Plan and implement configuration of software and or hardware eg SAN client and host on one or more platforms o Responsible for optimal system performance for Linux environments Support team in development of next generation patching model at Ford o Create automation to assist in infrastructure provisioning L support and capacity management o Manage and lead escalated support and problem resolution activities for system hardware software and or operating systems acting as L support for the Linux operating system o Lead and direct the development of support guidelines and procedures with participation from Operations Analysts and Architects Train Operations staff on supporting solutions defined for Linux Build test and certify virtualization technologies for the Linux operating system o Provide development and L support for company built highly available automation o Position Qualifications Performs at an extremely high level of technical competence and maturity o Ability to communicate effectively with application developers Ability to be a self starter looking for improvements to processes and business offerings o Ability to clearly explain technical issues in a non technical fashion o Ability to create complex technical documentation for operational use o Ability to handle multiple complex projects at one time Technical Qualifications o years of experience with Linux system administration o Experience working in a server operations role for a large heterogeneous environment o General infrastructure knowledge eg SAN network database and server hardware Good Communication Skills and ability to utilize desktop tools to accelerate communications Wikis IM WebEx etc o Experience with Java Javascript HTML Perl o Experience with Chef and Putty o Experience with SUSE ManagerEducation Required oBS Information Systems Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the requested field Company Description Miracle Software Systems Inc founded in is a Global Systems Integrator specializing in ERP BPM EAI SOA BB Digital Experience Technologies and is a Minority Certified Private Business headquartered in Novi MI USA Over the past twenty years Miracle has helped numerous large and mid sized businesses transition their IT to a Service Oriented Architecture with IT Transformation Initiatives deploying SAP Oracle ERP Systems Miracle has a global presence on four continents with multiple Global Development Centers spanning across the USA Canada and India Today Miracle team includes IT Professionals with a projected targeted expansion to by the end of
