We are unable to sponsor for this permanent full-time role** Prestigious Fortune 500 Company is currently seeking a Director of Information Security Service Delivery and Operations. Candidate will build, lead and evolve the Information Security Service Delivery and Operations. Responsibilities: Identify customer needs and provide engagement/subscription recommendations for specific information security services from new business projects and established business functions/solutions; Where applicable, develop and maintain service-specific delivery/subscription roadmaps; Secure funding for service delivery engagements according to applicable service funding mechanisms; Deliver services and service subscriptions as driven by customer priorities/appetite and service delivery roadmaps; Manage customer engagements to deliver specific services and service subscriptions; When available, migrate existing subscribed customers to updated services; Measure and report on service performance and value creation; Plan and scale the capacity of service delivery and operations resources based on current and forecasted demand for services; Administer general configuration of technical services and process support tools within design parameters; fulfill customer requests for configuration changes (create/modify/delete) to technical services; Periodically validate that technical service configuration accurately matches operational business requirements; Monitor for, detect, and resolve problems with technical services and process support tools; Monitor, report on, and administer performance of technical services within design parameters; Manage software lifecycle of technical services and process support tools within design parameters; Perform periodic maintenance tasks for technical services and process support tools, In the areas of third party selection evaluation and continuous information security assurance; internal information security assurance; internal/external auditor, customer, business partner oversight response; red teaming/penetration testing; end-user/developer/administrator awareness and training; vulnerability research and risk assessment; technical security solutions and their design, delivery and operations; system hardening; identity and authorization management and assurance; entitlement management and assurance; technical security solution administration and operation; cyber threat intelligence; security threat monitoring and detection; security incident response; digital forensics and others. Ensure that all information security services/capabilities adhere to the organization’s service model, process framework and formal philosophy/methodology for technical security controls, as appropriate. Establish and sustain strong working relationships with the organization’s customers and stakeholders. Partnering closely with the HR team hire, mentor, coach, train and manage the performance of the organization’s leaders and individual contributors. Design and execute all of the organization’s repeatable activities as mature (at least CMMI Leve 3) processes. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with industry peers and other external stakeholders including federal/local law enforcement agencies, industry organizations/consortia. Communicate the status and accomplishments of the organization’s operational activities and projects to company’s executive leaders, peers in the IT organization, customers and stakeholders. Partnering closely with the Procurement and Legal teams to actively manage the organization’s suppliers, service providers and business partners. Partnering closely with the Compliance, Privacy and Audit teams ensure adherence to all applicable legal, regulatory and contractual requirements in all activities of the organization. Manage the organization’s operating and project budgets and ensure executive leadership’s support for appropriate funding levels. Instill and promote a strong positive culture centered on business value creation, coopetition, commitment, merit-based recognition, personal development and external benchmarking. Share leading practices and lessons learned in managing customer engagements, delivering services, and operating solutions with industry peers, other industries, professional consortia, and relevant government organizations. Promote the company’s image as an industry leader in service delivery and operations excellence by presenting at industry events. Qualifications: At least 10 years of information security or other cross-functional IT discipline leadership experience in Fortune 100 size organizations. Minimum of 4 years experience in managing a vulnerability/malware research, security product engineering, security architecture design/consulting, or UNIX engineering/administration team at a Fortune 200 organization or security services/products vendor. Strong technical foundation, demonstrated through prior hands-on experience in large scale Unix system administration, Unix or MS Windows operating system-level code development, vulnerability research using reversing techniques or similar. Demonstrated skills in communicating with and presenting to executive business leaders and BoDs. Deep understanding of and prior hands-on experience in all major information security functions and activities including policy setting, vulnerability research, security architecture, system security engineering, incident response, security operations, security audit/compliance and others. Extensive experience in building, leading and retaining diverse teams of leaders and individual contributors from the top 10% of the industry’s talent pool. Track record of successfully executing profound organizational changes while maintaining support, buy-in and commitment from all stakeholders. Complete architecture-level understanding of all major information security technology solutions including advanced malware detection/prevention, mobile device virtualization/MDM, data protection for the Cloud, SEM, HIPS/NIPS, NAC, next generation Firewalls, database encryption, mobile application security, fine-grained application authorization and access control, virtual security appliances, security event visualization, big data security analytics, and others. Proven skills in managing all aspects (scope, budget, schedule, quality) of IT service delivery engagements in Fortune 100 scale environments. Extensive experience in successfully operating and maintaining large scale, complex, mission-critical IT solutions. Externally recognized information security industry thought leadership and operational excellence accomplishments. Excellent process management and continuous improvement skills applied in the context of formal process frameworks. Understanding of contemporary security vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques and attack vectors. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal/external customers, stakeholders, suppliers, business partners, industry peers.
