Maintech supports servers, storage and network devices from all major OEMS with services ranging from on-site hardware maintenance and server administration, to Remote NOC Monitoring and Managed Services. Maintech''s ISS program is recognized as the premier, comprehensive service offering in the independent IT services marketplace. Maintech currently has an opening for a Data Center Operator in Detroit, MI. Provide "Smart Hands" support for IT hardware as specified by or utilized in customer's Data Center environment. Analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots hardware/server issues with focus on responsiveness; provides problem resolutions. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to): . Racking and stacking servers . Rebooting servers . Establishing console connections and working with remote SAs to resolve issues . Onsite server builds and decommissions . Creating system boot disks . Checking status lights on equipment . Replacing hot-swappable drives . Verifying cable locations and plugging cables . Escalating more complex issues to customer's 2nd level tech support Job Requirements Must have H. S. diploma or GED A+ certification.
