Genpact is currently seeking an Application Developer I This position is primarily responsible for developing tools and automation solutions in MS Access using VBA and SQL Server xxxx (or higher) Databases. Under general direction and coaching, should be able to enhance and maintain existing applications. Identify and promote alternate solutions that improve functional design or overall delivery efficiency. Provide data and analytical support for corporate work driver efforts as well as process improvement initiatives. This position has frequent customer interaction and the successful candidate must have proven abilities to extract and analyze requirements from customers at all levels of the organization. Excellent communication and customer service oriented skills are required. This position should be able to contribute to all phases of the application development life-cycle while adhering to the SDLC methodology. Write software code, test, debug, and document and maintain computer applications. Identify coding errors through informal and formal testing methods. Participate in technical design, development, and implementation of applications. Requires ability to use creative thinking to resolve problems and offer innovative solutions to business problems and provide ongoing support to users. Develop documentation as required by the SDLC and production change control procedures, including installation and operating procedures, data flow diagrams and flowcharts. Train and mentor other team members. Other duties may be assigned. Required Skills/Experience: *Four (4) to seven (7) years experience in MS Access VBA Programming in developing automations, end-user applications, and/or user-interfaces with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills. *Strong knowledge of SQL Query language using SQL Server Management Studio tools *Strong knowledge of Excel Pivot or Power Pivot views to provide data and analytical support Preferred Skills/Experience: *Knowledge of the health insurance industry is preferred. *MS Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint, DB2 databases, other PC database tools, and other PC development languages. *Experience with other reporting and data analytical BI tools such as Cognos and/or SSAS.
