What I'm looking for: A house as close to downtown Royal Oak as possible, or downtown Ferndale (I may be able to deal with a flat if it's first level) A nice kitchen (with dishwasher!) A good backyard for hanging out in (Bonfire pit? Yes please!) Decent sunlight in home Washer/dryer in home Animals!! Not required but I love a home with animals. No strict lease lengths please! Rent/utilities/internet no more than $650, but preferably less. I pay $400 now. I can afford it, but a girl's gotta travel... and pay student loans. I'd be willing to exchange delicious made-to-order baked goods and homemade meals for lower rent, too =) What I'm looking for in a roommate: Someone I can call a friend. Who wants to live with a stranger? I want someone to chat with when you or I come home, and do fun stuff with. Have had great experiences with both male and female roommates, so I'm open to either/or, and would prefer both! Respectful, of course. Of my things, of my personal space, of common areas, etc. I'm not a super neat freak, but I like things organized. Have to be okay with a dirty dish in the sink for a day, a hoodie on the couch, water glass on the table, etc. I don't let things get out of control but I'm not super uptight either. About me: I'm a 25 year old MSU graduate in Kinesiology. I work at a restaurant in downtown Royal Oak 4-6 nights a week. I'm fairly quiet at home, I spend my time cooking, reading, watching Netflix, and planning my next trip! If you have pets, be prepared for me to kidnap them for cuddles on a regular basis. Love getting out of the house during the summer for kayaking, random recreational sports, going out to eat, live music, etc. As far as house responsibilities, I would do well with a cleaning schedule. I'm happy as long as responsibilities are split pretty evenly! I am a (responsible) gun owner with a CPL, so you must be comfortable with having a firearm in the house.
