Senior Property Tax Analyst - Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Birmingham, MI) in Detroit, Michigan For Sale

Reporting into the Director of Tax your duties will include, but not be limited to:
Prepares and files property tax returns for multiple state and local jurisdictions, processes tax payments and maintains all records associated with the filing of property tax returns; Maintains working knowledge of state and local property tax laws; Ensures accuracy and completeness of property tax assessments from various jurisdictions; contacts assessors to resolve discrepancies in statements received; Maintains relationships with tax assessors; responds to questions and provides information/clarification, as needed; Provides direction and oversight to other staff and/or contract personnel in property tax return preparation and payment processing; Supports accounting, reporting and forecasting for property taxes; Researches various property tax issues; Provides support to external auditors by responding to questions, preparing schedules, etc. in the course of quarterly reviews and annual audits; Supports the maintenance of property tax accounting systems, including system upgrades.
