We are looking for a Procurement Agent to join the Midwest Hub Procurement Team. This position is located at the Wyandotte, MI location and is responsible for serving as the procurement Site Account Manager for multiple manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities include the following:
: Perform all aspects of procurement for construction, maintenance, engineering and facility services for assigned sites.
: Understand the site goals and objectives to ensure that site needs are best represented by Procurement.
: Frequent interaction with the site leadership is expected.
: Consistently challenge the status quo in an effort to identify opportunities (savings, innovation, process improvements, etc.) in collaboration with the sites.
: Responsible for implementing procurement strategies to support purchasing requirements for the Hub and integrated sites.
: Provide procurement support for capital projects.
: Lead sourcing processes (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, etc.) including commercial analysis, negotiation, selection and contracting.
: Interact with production, engineering and / or maintenance departments to coordinate technical specifications, approved suppliers, project schedules, etc.
: Interface with suppliers for understanding of service capabilities, negotiation of price and commercial terms, and resolution of disputes.
: Establish contracts, including business KPIs ensuring terms and conditions are supported, formally agreed to and documented.
: Review supplier performance collaboratively with key internal stakeholders.
: Interact with other BASF functions such as Legal, Insurance and Tax to ensure contractual terms are protecting BASF.
