xxxxBR Job Title Intellectual Property Clerk Location Dearborn State Michigan Company Ford Motor Company Job Description & Qualifications Ford Global Technologies, LLC (FGTL) is a consolidated subsidiary of Ford Motor Company assigned responsibility for managing all aspects of the Company's intellectual property portfolio – including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. FGTL operates as a legal office, and its functions include, but are not limited to, intellectual property acquisition, maintenance, enforcement, licensing and defense. We are seeking a summer intellectual property clerk to assist FGTL management with a variety of office-type administrative duties during the peak summer vacation period. Responsibilities Include: · Assist FGTL management in preparing legal correspondence and supporting documentation · Opening and delivering intercompany and outside mail to FGTL employees · Copying, sorting, filing and organizing legal documents · Entering data and scanned documents into the Company's Intellectual Property Database Minimum Requirements: ·Candidates must have completed at least 24 credit hours towards an undergraduate degree in a legal, finance, economics, business or other relevant field of study with an interest in the intellectual property legal profession ·Proficiency in or familiarity Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and other similar business software programs ·Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently Level of Responsibility: Undergraduate or Graduate Student will report to an intellectual property attorney or Financial Controller.
