Facilities Asset Manager - (Livonia) in Detroit, Michigan For Sale
The Facilities Asset Manager position will support and assist the Facilities Director with the management of commercial real estate, vehicle fleet, vendor contracts, and day-to-day administration of leases, landlord relations, building regulations, compliance issues and building expenses. The Facilities Asset Manager will manage resources to achieve required department financial objectives and assist in the preparation of annual expense projections and the reporting and financial performance of properties. Facilities Asset Manager will assist the Facilities Director with establishment of the Property Management Plan, Preventative Maintenance Policies and Procedures, Property Operations Manual and ensure that there is 24-hour emergency coverage for the property at all times. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and respond to customer requests/problems in a timely and courteous manner as well as follow-up with customers to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues. Facilities Asset Manager will also be responsible for conducting periodic inspections of properties and tenant spaces to ensure compliance with leases and proper upkeep of properties. This position is located in Livonia, MI. Qualifications College degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, or related fields preferred or equivalent facility/property management experience, preferably in a large organization with demonstrated leadership skills Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience Ability to understand complex lease agreement terms & conditions unique to each property location Strong oral and written communication, negotiation, financial and analytical skills Ability to manage various vendors/contractors in delivering service components Ability to be on call 24 hours a day and able to travel between locations as necessary Must have customer service experience and strong interpersonal relationship building skills Knowledge of computers for use with database, spreadsheet, word processing and other relevant software packages Exceptional organizational and time management skills Self-starter with results oriented attitude and able to work well under pressure Must be a strong team player with ability to work effectively with other disciplines within the Facilities organization as well as other business units within the corporation Understanding of building and environmental issues Preferred Skills Real Estate License, BOMA, IFMA, CPM or other Business Management or technical certification Comprehensive knowledge of facilities management principles, techniques and laws involved in the operations and maintenance of commercial facilities
