Software Engineer being sought by a multi:billion dollar Tier 1 automotive company in Farmington Hills, MI. Our client has experienced multi:digit growth over the past 5 years. The primary responsibility of this position will be to support software integration activities between low level driver software and customer application software for engin control modules that are currently being developed for production programs. Aother responsibility is to demonstrate the functionality of the driver software to the customer. Our client is seeking candidates immediately and is offering a very competitive salary, bonus, and benefits Job Responsibilities:? Understand and demonstrate expertise in the use of ANSI:C compiler, assembler, linker, loader, lister, parsers, and related software development tool chain components. Demonstrate a high level of expertise in the installation, configuration, script generation, and use of measurement and calibration tools (e.g. ETAS, ATI, or equivalent). Knowledge of the complete tool chain, from the user interface on the PC, through the ECU emulation device, to the target microcontroller and the target firmware drivers. Possess strong knowledge of software debug tools, and trace tools such as Lauterbach, P and E Micro, etc). Establish, document, and maintain configuration and version control for all delivered software debug and trace tools and associated benches. Experience working with hardware in the loop (HIL) systems from vendors such as ETAS and dSPACE. Installing plant models, configuring the PC user interface, building wiring harnesses and load boxes. Job Requirements: Possess a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical area. Be proficient in software programming languages such as assembly, C or other high level languages. Be familiar with automotive component and vehicle test procedures, including EMI/EMC testing. Be generally knowledgeable in the automotive development process. Have a minimum of 2:5 years applicable experience in automotive environment. Have experience with electronic control systems. Have experience with design specifications and detailed software documentation. Have experience with software validation test procedures.
