Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
:Proposal Process
:
Review RFQ and customer technical requirements
o Request missing information from customer directly or through SAE
o Forward customer specification to engineering for review
o Develop RFQs for non Heller equipment quotes
o Vendor Quote Process (See Below)
o Process the project being quoted
:
Create fixture layout
:
Create time study
:
Create process overview
:
Create system layout
:
Create machine configuration
:
Support review of tolerance analysis and capability requirements
:
Review and approve processing with PL
o Review processing with customer
o Update processing based on vendor quotes and customer
o Line up GAE and MLS to quote and create schedule
o Create proposal TOC and distribute
o Initiate proposal package
o Approve estimate content
o Perform technical and commercial review of proposal document
o Make appropriate updates to proposal document

Vendor Quote
:
Determine proposal items to be quoted (automation, ancillary equipment, fixtures,
tooling, etc.)
o Prepare appropriate RFQ documents and attachments
o Line up suppliers in order to properly quote proposal items.
o Coordinate with information with GAE and MLP
o Review technical content of vendor quotes

Scheduling (Proposal)

Complete and submit request for schedule to MLS.

Kickoff Process
:
Perform technical match between Customer PO and HUS proposal
o Prepare AS Sold proposal
o Move applicable proposal documents to the new job folder
o Review IOC
o Participate in Technical Review

Education and Experience:
:
Minimum 4 year technical degree.
:
Minimum 5 years automotive and machine tool experience.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints
o Microsoft Office Product application capability (specifically Word, Excel, Power
point and Project)
o Thorough understanding of HUS processes: Proposal (PL.PM.001), Kickoff
(SA.PM.001) and Vendor Quotation (ML.PM.003).

o Metrology (basis knowledge of materials)
o Cutting tool knowledge (feeds and speeds)
